IFL’s first urea line was commissioned in June 2016 and the second line ,which is a mirror-image of first line, in May 2021.  With the commissioning of second urea line, IFL has a combined production capacity of 8,000 metric tons per day of Granular Urea and an annual capacity of 2.8 million metric tons making IFL the largest urea producer in Africa. IFL’s key focus has always been to cater to the growing fertilizer demand of the domestic market in Nigeria (both for direct application and NPK blending) and also to work towards bringing a green revolution in the country. The surplus production after supplying the domestic market is exported as Nigeria offers an excellent logistical as well as seasonal advantages to best serve regional markets in West & South of Africa and the natural export markets in South & North America. All the urea exports are handled by the captive port terminal, located 16kms from the complex, with a capacity to handle handy, supramax and panamax ships.
