Wataniya Bitumen and Oil Refinery is one of the projects of Wataniya Group is designed and licensed by Pörner which is constructing a Biturox® - Bitumen Blowing Unit for production of paving and industrial bitumen grades located in adjacent of Samawa Refinery in Iraq.

This plant is installed as a grass root installation to make premium Bitumen products of different grades of road paving and industrial Bitumen. The design capacity of the BBU is 500.000 MTPA for manufacturing various Bitumen Grades such as 20/30, 40/50, 50/70, 60/70 and 80/100 according to the ASTM, BS/EN, and international standards. Moreover, the Cut-Back Bitumen unit, with a capacity of 300 MTPD for providing the infrastructure of the road to penetrate more effectively, by blending Kerosene and Bitumen 80/100 as feed materials. 
 We are ready to deliver Bitumen in new steel drums, 150, 180 & 220 Kg, Jumbo Bags or Flexi tank and equipped by fully automatic truck loading system. All essential certificates such as ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 18001 and CE marking have been attained. The superior laboratory in Quality Control Department has responsibility of all types of Bituminous materials in compliance with international inspection organizations such as SGS, GEOCHEM and BV. 
Wataniya has started to establish a new Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) with a capacity of 900,000 MTPA and related utilities and facilities for upstream of existing Bitumen Blowing Unit (BBU).^[1]

Iraq-based Wataniya Bitumen and Oil Refinery plans to start up its new bitumen unit and begin exports from this year's first quarter.
